AWA Superstars August 24th

The show began with the old theme and same graphic ffrom AWA Superstars on ESPN from the 1980s with the same old announcer.... at the end of the old school intro the old school beat continues and then it scratches like a turntable... and you here somebody else go "REMIX" and then some new AWA Superstars theme plays (SOME HIP HOP SONG WRITTEN BY TI ESPECIALLY FOR THE AWA)...........

Then the scene cuts to the sold out crowd in Columbus and Rick Arpin and Don West I welcome people to the show and do a quick run down and remind folks that Dale Gagne Vergne Gagne and Chris Champion all have a major announcement...

Match 1

Team Extreme Vs. "Big Guns" Jeff Cannon and Johnny "the tank" woods

Sabu and Cannon would square off first, but Cannon definately had the upper hand... Sabu was having major trouble until getting a reversal and going to the top rope and swan diving at Cannon. He quickly would tag Awesome in.... Mike Awesome did major wok on Cannon....... Awesome sent Cannon into his partner Woods nocking him off the apron... ..... Awesome then followed up with a boot....... Awesome sets up for the Awesome Bomb....... As Woods rolls in and the ref grabs him... Awesome and Sabu double team Jeff Cannon. Cannon tired and done Is sent into the rops and sabu gets him with a flyying drop kick......... Sabu drops to the outside woods goes to the outside..Awesome Bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1.......2......... Woods makes the save... Sabu comes into the ring.. All 4 particpants battle it out....... Woods takes down both Sabu and Awesome and then drags cannon close to the ropes goes back outside and tags in... Woods goes up top... FLYING BEER TRUCK!!!!!... Woods covers Awesome.... 1......2....3!!!!!!!!!!

The match went about 20 minutes... no idea how they will fit this whole show into two hours..... Good thing ESPN has ROLLOVER TIME....

Japanese Express Vs. The New Relics

This match was early on cause Chono will have to defend his Midwest title as well... This match went quick though.... Muto and Chono had the advantage. Prep was not 100 % and Logan Caine couldn't hold the team...... They did not look as usual... No reason why Prep wasn't at his best but he wasn't.....Troy Prep gets pinned by Chono in 10 minutes.

THE CHAMPION "PSYCHO KILLER" JAMES KITTLE Vs. JASON HARD aka GOONBERG

This match went for 10 minutes...Kittle suplexed Hard off the ladder into a table for the pin.....

FOR PWA AND WWA STAR "The Game" Nic Cross Vs. Naoya Ogawa

Nic Cross won in 15 minutes.... He controlled most of the match.........

Following the match Cross would stay out..... Following him came Chris Champion out........You hear the former PWA Music Theme and Champion comes to ringside...

Chris Champion - Since you have returned Cross the fire has been in the AWA.... In fact we have been getting bigger through the weeks and now were about to get bigger.... Things are changing.... We are now officially hitting a national level. Bigger than anyone expected.... And to officialy announce this along with everyone else I am pleased to introduce your own Dale Gagne and Verne Gagne...

Verne - I'm so glad to bring tradition back on this level... We did a few week trial to see how it would work out regionally and it has been a huge success. Chris Champion as former PWA owner who is now are DoD came to me and we contacted a close friend........ I'm gonna bring him out John Fredrickson.....

Out comes Fredrickson Suit and Tie with a Smile on his Face..........

Dale - I'd like to say on behalf myself and my father Mr. Fredrickson it is an honor...

John - Well I'm sure you all wanna know what is going on... Well here goes... The WWA merged and bought the PWA from Mr. Champion, the WCW, the WWWF/WWF, the IWA, and NWA Major League (FANTASY NWA)...... Leavin other promotions such as the NeWA (ewrestling NWA), WFWA, WCCW, NWC(DEFUNCT), and ECW (DEFUNCT), and TNA!!!!!...... But the fact is the WWA/PWA which owns the rights to the WWF/WWWF, the IWA, NWA Major League and the WCW had went defunct as well many years ago.. About 5 to 6 years back in fact... The WWA/PWA was booming but Economy was going down hill and I took it on myself to close the company down so I wouldn't go bankrupt. I was afraid.... I paid my employees off and gave them good pinchens and offers to go works anywhere and great references..... Time went by and TNA has florished...... the NeWA has had trouble but is still going as strong as ever.... the WFWA is on top...... and as for the NWC it went out. ECW went out......And all the other companys were either selling to us or merging.... So I took it upon myself.. And now I have plenty of money.... And I'm not happy with where wrestling necessarily is out. I've watched my colleague and close friend Mr. Champion work with the Gagnes these last few weeks and it put a fire in me.... That's why we have decided to Merge our companys... The WWA/PWA/WCW/NWA MAJOR LEAGUE/IWA/WWF/WWWF will merge with the AWA...........

THE FANS ERUPT

John - I plan on sinking my money into this to make it big......... And Verne Will oversee what Dale and Chris do..... It will still be the AWA.... But what is going to go down is.... Verne Gagne Productions and Fredrickson Sports will merge to become Gagne and Fredrickson Sports Inc. ................. I will own 30 % of the company.......... Verne Gagne and Dale Gagne will both equally own 30% a piece in the company under the conditions that when Verne or Dale would pass that they either one would only hold 30 % share.... the other 10 % will goto Chris Champion at this Time..... Once one of 3 30 % shareholders passes or deceases this Share goes to Chris Champion who will then forfeit his 10 % share to what we will establish then a AWA Board of Directors which will be made up of 8 individuals..... So at this time since I am the money man I am gonna let these gentlemen explain what we are doing here.........

Verne Gagne - Ok well this is all great with me and We Will continue the tradition of the WWA and the AWA and beyond!!!!!

Dale Gagne - So I will give you a quick run down.... the AWA will continue their weekly PPV Eruption and our show like tonight on ESPN AWA SUPERSTARS and My father, Champion, and I will all make the decisions regarding these shows!!! THIS MATCH WENT 15 minutes and Dawes came out and did work to Storm, but Chono half way friends with Storm helped him the guy out and they pretty much beat the tar out of Dawes.....

Champion's music plays and he comes out to the entry way

Chris Champion - Dawes....... Storm.... I'm done.... I've had it... You two are suspended from further action until after WCCW Nightmare.... I can't take it.. neither one of you can get through a match without interfereing each either..... One day its Storm the next its Dawes... Get a grip... cause you both just cause each other gold and you could both be holding onto it instead you far from it. You will be moving down in the rankings.... So it's time you rethink your strategys.....

Storm pissed grabs a chair and beats the tar out of Dawes and Chono. Gangsta Gangsta goes off and he goes to leave and Champion is standing again at the entry way with police who escort him to the back of the arena and kick him out......
