Chono would be the Commentators for the evening. They guaranteed for the next show there would be a new announce team. Chono
announced the start of the WWA Asian Heavyweight Championship tournament tonight along with the main event being for the WWA
World Light Heavyweight Championship when Naomichi Marufuji defends his title to Jushin Thunder Liger. WWA All Asian Heavyweight Championship Tournament Hirroki Goto defeated Takashi Iizuka with the “Go To Heaven” Kurt Angle defeated Puma with an “Ankle Lock” Yuji Nagata defeated Kenzo Suzuki with the “Thunder Death Driver” Masakatsu Funaki defeated YAMATO with a “guillotine choke” Togi Makabe defeated Yujiro with the “King Kong Knee Drop” AKIRA defeated Jado after using the “Ore ga Taue” Koji Kanemoto defeated Super Strong Machine after using the “Koji Clutch” Hiroyoshi Tenzan defeated Minoru Tanaka with a “Moonsault” Following the first round matches, Chono announced at the next event that production values were expected
to get better and since the great turn out they will finish out the tournament at the next Sunday Show!!! The 8 Quarter Finalists
are, Hirooki Goto, Kurt Angle, Yuji Nagata, Masakatsu Funaki, Togi Makabe, AKIRA, Koji Kanemoto, and Hiroyoshi Tenzan! Main Event WWA World Light Heavyweight Championship Naomichi Marfuji (Champion) Vs. Jushin Thunder Liger Liger came at and put on a hell of a match. Jushin used a belly to back suplex, german suplex, a gut wrench
suplex and a belly to belly suplex. He also used a rolling wheel kick, senton bomb, Shotei, a surfboard, and a fisherman buster.
However Marfuji was the champion for a reason abd used a arm trap dragon screw, front flip neck breaker, and a front flip
snap mare driver. Marufuji wanted to retain his gold so he used a frong splash, slingshot elbow drop, and a Tiger Flawsion
for a close fall. Liger used a frankensteiner, spine buster, a Liger Suplex, and a Liger Bomb for two close falls but both
men were just giving it their all and wrestled to a 30 minute time limit. Both men shook hands and Chono said they would continue
at the next NJPW Live Event this time in a 60 minute match up to settle the score!!! The crowd was excited for the night as
